An Act to establish the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public related matters.ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria-

Part I – ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF LOCAL OVERNMENT AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OF NIGERIA

1. Establishment of chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria

(1)There is established the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (in this Act referred to as "the Institute").

(2)The Institute -

(a)shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;

(b)may acquire, hold and dispose of movable and immovable property; and

(c)may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

2. Functions of the Institute

The Institute shall -
