An Act to Establish the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos to Provide Courses of Instruction, Training and Research in the Exploration and Exploitation of Minerals for National Development ; and for Related Matters.Enacted by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria:

Part I – Establishment of Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos

1. Establishment of Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos

(1)There is established the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos (in this Act referred to as 'The Institute”).

(2)The Institute

(a)is a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal ; and

(b)may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

2. Functions of the Institute
