An Act to repeal the National Minimum Wage Act, Cap, N61, Laws Nigeria, 2004 and enact the National Minimum Wage Act, 2019 to minimum wage for workers; and for related matters.ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria -

1. Objective of this Act

This Act is to prescribe the national minimum wage and provide for a legal framework for a seamless review of the national minimum wage within the period specified under this Act.

2. Application

This Act applies throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

3. Employer to pay minimum wage

(l)Every employer shall pay a national minimum wage of not less than ā‚¦30,000.00 per month to every worker under his establishment, except as otherwise provided under this Act.
