AN ACT TO ALTER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, 1999 TO ALLOW STATES GENERATE, TRANSMIT AND DISTRIBUTE ELECTRICITY IN AREAS COVERED BY THE NATIONAL GRID ; AND FOR RELATED MATTERS.ENACTED BY THE National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria—

1. Alteration of the Constitution

The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (in this Act referred to as “the Principal Act”) is altered as set out in this Act.

2. Alteration of Second Schedule

The Second Schedule to the Principal Act is altered in Part II, paragraph 14 (b), by deleting after the word, “areas”, the words, “not covered by a national grid system”.

3. Citation
