In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by Section 248 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) and by virtue of all powers enabling me in that behalf, I, MONICA BOLNAAN Dovcnas-Mensem, President, Court of Appeal, hereby make the following Rules-

Part I

1. ORDER 1 - GENERAL

1. Short Title

These Rules may be cited as the Court of Appeal Rules, 2021 and shall come into force on the 1st day of November, 2021.

2. Repeal

The Court of Appeal Rules, 2016 is hereby repealed.

3. Conflict with State Rules of Practice

The practice and procedure of the Court shall, subject to the Act, be as prescribed by these Rules notwithstanding any rule of practice to the contrary in any State of the Federation.
