AN ACT to transform the Institute of Professional Studies into a public University and to provide for related matters.PASSED by Parliament and assented to by the President:

Establishment of the University

1. Establishment of the University of Professional Studies

(1)There is established by this Act a body corporate with perpetual succession to be known as the University of Professional Studies

(2)Where there is hindrance to the acquisition ofproperty, the property may be acquiied for the University under the State Property and Contracts Act, 1960 (C.A. 6) or the State Lands Act, 1962 (Act 125) and the cost shall be borne by the University.
