Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the National Gender and Equality Commission Act, 2011.

2. Interpretation

(1)In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—“Cabinet Secretary” means the Cabinet Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to gender;“chairperson” means the chairperson of the Commission appointed under section 11;“Commission” means the National Gender and Equality Commission established under section 3;“former National Commission on Gender and …
