Adaptation of Laws (Criminal Procedure) Order, 1959

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 75 of the Nigeria (Constitution) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1959, the Governor General has made the following Order-

1. Citation and application

This Order may be cited as the Adaptation of Laws (Criminal Procedure) Order, 1959, and (so far as the context permits) has application throughout the Federation.

2. Adaptation Schedule

The existing law sepcified in the Schedule shall be read and construed with the adaptations and modification in such Schedule.

3. Savings (L.N. 131 of 1958)

Sections 5 and 6 of the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1954 shall supply in respect of the adaptations and modifications effected hereby as though such adaptations and modifications were set out in the third Schedule to that Order.
