Subscription Plans

judy.legal offers three subscription tiers to meet different needs:

Student Plan

Standard Plan

  • Full access to case law and legislation
  • Advanced search and filtering
  • Annotations and highlights
  • Assisted Research

Plus Plan

  • Everything in Standard
  • PDF downloads
  • Priority support
  • Additional database access

Billing Periods

Choose a billing period that works for you:

Monthly Every month
Quarterly Every 3 months ~5%
Biannually Every 6 months ~10%
Yearly Once per year ~17% (2 months free)

Longer billing periods offer better value with significant savings.

Database Add-ons

Your subscription includes access to your primary country database. Add more jurisdictions as needed:

  • West Africa (WACA)

Adding Databases

  1. Go to the Pricing page
  2. Select your plan
  3. Check the additional databases you need
  4. The total price updates automatically

Pricing by Region

Pricing varies by region and is shown in your local currency:

  • Ghana: Prices in GHS (Ghana Cedis)
  • Nigeria: Prices in NGN (Nigerian Naira)
  • Kenya: Prices in KES (Kenyan Shillings)
  • International: Prices in USD, GBP, or EUR

Team & Organization Plans

Team Plans (2+ users)

  • 10% discount on per-user pricing
  • Available with quarterly or yearly billing
  • Shared organization billing

Organization Plans (3+ users)

  • 10% discount on per-user pricing
  • 2 bonus user seats included
  • Yearly billing only
  • Loyalty discounts for renewals:
    • Year 2: Additional 10% off
    • Year 3+: Additional 15% off

Making a Payment

Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard
  • Mobile Money: Available in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya
  • Bank Transfer: For organization plans

Checkout Process

  1. Select your plan and options
  2. Review the price summary (including any taxes)
  3. Apply a discount code if you have one
  4. Click Subscribe
  5. Complete payment through our secure payment provider
  6. Your subscription activates immediately

Taxes

Applicable taxes are calculated based on your country:

  • VAT (Value Added Tax)
  • Other local levies as required

Tax details are shown in the price summary before payment.

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Your Subscription

Go to AccountBilling to see:

  • Current plan and status
  • Next billing date
  • Payment history

Changing Plans

To upgrade or change your plan:

  1. Go to AccountBilling
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Changes take effect immediately. Any remaining credit is applied to your new plan.

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel:

  1. Go to AccountBilling
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Payment History & Invoices

Viewing Payment History

  1. Go to AccountBilling
  2. Scroll to Payment History
  3. See all past payments with dates and amounts

Downloading Receipts

  1. Find the payment in your history
  2. Click Download Receipt
  3. A PDF receipt downloads to your device

Receipts include:

  • Payment date and amount
  • Plan details
  • Payment method (last 4 digits)
  • Tax breakdown

Student Verification

To access student pricing:

  1. Select the Student Plan
  2. During checkout, verify your student status
  3. Provide your institution details
  4. Your eligibility is verified

Student plans are only available to verified students at accredited institutions.

Discount Codes

If you have a discount code:

  1. Go to checkout
  2. Click Apply Discount Code
  3. Enter your code
  4. Click Apply
  5. Your discount is reflected in the total
